Five Bishops like wild woolly Taliban,
Hated all priestesses Anglican,
So they turned to the Pope.
Saying, "We pray and we hope,
You've space for five more in the Vatican."

Beautifully hymned. I think there is plenty of space in the Vatican.

The five junior Bishops (one retired) didn't have to pray for space elsewhere on earth....they knew a creation was in the offing. Side-lining in a fractious and fracturing religious community, or is it separation, from the mainstream, is hardly a worthy welcome. It may keep the Bishops religiously hygienic.

You're just being picky.

Truth is often the enemy of wit.

Oh dear Munzly, you're being picky...I was endorsing all that you wittily laid out, blessings and all, with a few extras. Dominus Vobiscum

Definitely no enmity here.-

Sorry, I misunderstood your intentions. The point is, it was really meant to point out the similarity between the bishops' attitude to women and that of the taliban, not as a news-cast.

Your misogynistic references were well understood. You did cleverly point out much more besides. I referred GillyK to this post, earlier on this evening. She'd posted a discursive post about the Bishops 'trials and errors'.
