So what is happening?
Julian Assange is arrested and denied bail at Westminster Magistrates Court.
Master Card and Visa to suspend payments to Wikileaks as PayPal and Amazon have all ready done.
Me thinks certain Goverments are smarting from the leaks, and excerting enormous pressures on any business having dealings with Wikileaks.
Does anyone here know of an alternative method of donating to the Wikileaks site!

they're all out to get him...if Britain gives him up, more shame on us...these are trumped up charges...typical dirty smear campaign...governments are afraid of what will come out...if the only thing they can find to charge him with is rape, you know for certain he's clean on all other possible charges so left with no alternative but to use the age old charge...

this is going to get very dirty...I hate this type bloody smear case when everybody knows it's a trumped up charge...if he's accused of it and found guilty, it will be an outrageous injustice...the Swedes may even hand him over to the USA, who, no doubt, with us, arranged these charges...

In the pursuit of freedom of information it is probably a position I would be prepared to take. I do not feel that any Government, however, would pursue a broke middleagedbloke through any constitutional and democratic court system if i did decide to set up an account dedicated to wikileaks!!

Pro I admire your stand on this. Freedon of speech is vital in any democracy and is the one thing we still have left - for how long is anyone's guess though

It seems as if the Big Brother State is upon us.
Hacks me off... they cock-up, someone leaks the news, someone else broadcasts it and suddenly there are all kinds of restrictions in place...

The whole business has a terrible smell about it. If government and corporations do manage to shut wikileaks up for good, that's a massive blow to the freedom of the net. It's not like wikileaks broke in anywhere and stole papers!
