There wasn't a mention of this in yesterday's Daily Express, that self-proclaimed 'Greatest Newspaper in the World'. The rag did, though, manage to fit in the story of a real benefit cheat alongside its usual midden of trash and trivia. Among the disabled protesters in London there were parents marching with their disabled children, everyone protesting against cuts to vital disability benefits. Until not very long ago David Cameron himself was the parent of a seriously handicapped child. At the time the tabloids were falling over themselves to show photos of him, a 'wonderful, caring father to his invalid son'. The difference was, however, that Cameron didn't need any benefits because he's extremely well off. Even so, one would have thought his experience of that situation would have embedded some understanding of how difficult it can be for those on low incomes. Apparently not. So such people are left to protest, largely unreported, with some carrying placards saying: 'Kick Cameron Out!' And who can blame them?
