Emma Boon is a spokesperson for the Taxpayers' Alliance. This is NOT a genuine
grassroots protest body. It's actually a pseudo group with a vested interest, created
to operate in collaboration with the rightwing press. Emma Boon and others are often
quoted in the Daily Express, usually in relation to 'the need to make large benefit cuts'.
This so-called Alliance is extremely selective in where it wants cuts to be made, which
rather gives the game away. The group sits on what is called Astroturf, the name given
to fake grassroots foundations.

the damned bombing raids are hugely expensive...11,000 of them!! 4000 with actual bombings...the fuel alone is a major expense!...what gets me is that the government can always find vast amounts of money if it wants to but it can't reduce the debt we have acquired other than to reduce the general public to a near state of penury...

That's the giveaway, jenray. If we're so strapped for cash as a nation, how come we can chuck millions at unnecessary wars and foreign aid as if we're Carnegie or somebody?

I don't believe these damned debts are real, they are manufactured by the banking system...I hate conspiracy theories and trying hard not to believe there is a group of people behind this banking crisis, but the more I hear these countries in danger of defaulting must sell off all their publicly owned utilities, I'm convinced now it was created deliberately in order to remove all traces of Socialism from the world and create one great free market...Capitalism only will survive...we can say goodbye to the NHS, to our current Welfare system and any other utility or social benefits owned or partly owned now by the people, and eventually, the Unions...if our recent experience with our energy company is anything to go by it will be a bloody awful world to live in where the customer counts for nothing, just how to get as much money out of them as possible for the companies' shareholders and hugely paid executives...because you can bet your last penny the workers won't get much...

The right wing press is capable of going to any devious lengths to get its message across. We have delusions of grandeur, we still think we're a world power.

I'm not alone, I don't think, in wondering why does this little country who thinks it is a a big country (Yorkshire Terrier syndrome) has to stick it's nose into the affairs of every other country in the world? It costs us a bloody fortune. We'd all live better lives if it wasn't for our bloody stupid governments getting into fights with all and sundry.
Danny Alexander might be a naîve truth mongerer, but have you seen those eyes, I wouldn't trust him near children or sheep.-
