Most people will be aware that the British government has openly condemned acts of terrorism. The Terrorism Act (2006) also condemns activities which can be interpreted as incitement to acts of terrorism: inflammatory speech-making in public for example. By extension, if someone proceeded to set up, say, centres for recruiting jihadi warriors, our authorities would move very swiftly to close them down. Bearing this in mind, how is it then that we have had Israeli army recruitment offices in London since 2001? Israel's military recruitment here, selecting people to be trained for service out in the Palestinian territories, makes pure hypocrisy of our government's condemnation of terrorism. That our leaders allow this recruitment to take place can be seen in two ways:
(a) they are indifferent to Israel's brutal acts of terrorism on civilians abroad
(b) they are colluding in these matters
I would suggest it is the latter, considering our leaders make statements regularly on other 'terror' situations.
Also, there appear to be no trade embargoes whatsoever on the Israeli regime. We engage in armaments import/export with them, with our Metropolitan Police for example being supplied with ammunition manufactured by Israeli companies. In turn, we supply them with parts for fighter aircraft used to attack Palestinian towns and villages. Meanwhile regimes like Syria get openly condemned.
It all begs the question: who are the true terrorists in these war games? Surely operating double standards, where we allow terrorist acts by some to pass unquestioned whilst pointing the finger at others, counts as aiding and abetting terrorism?
