About 3 weeks ago George Osborne was crowing that "Britain is a safe haven" in the eurozone storm. Now we're being told, by both him and Cameron, that Britain isn't quite so safe after all. In fact, it seems Plan A is now at risk BECAUSE OF the aforesaid storm. You have to laugh at these shysters. My mental image of them is of a couple of Carry On campers struggling in the wind to reset their guy-ropes. They've even had the audacity to tell the eurozone leaders what THEY should be doing! It's all smokescreening of course, to over for their own incompetence. And now Sarcozy has told Cameron to shut-up. What a carry on!

sarkozy is down in the polls, 5 months from the presidencial elections.
british bashing is very popular in france, so it was done for political reasons. as the word palava comes from the latin for parable or tale, there is a french parable:
"aucun president n'est elu si il aime les anglais...etc..."
with regards to the thread, britain is a lot financially sounder than 25 of the EU members and in betters hands with Cameron and Osborne instead of Brown and balls!

Wouldn't mind all this gesturing if we as a nation were going to benefit from the Eurozone

the benefits are obvious. more countries in europe are democracies, the risk of any european conflicts are nil, therefore no more losses of british generations in any european wars, english language and british products are in demande throughout europe. the standing of the UK is excellent on the continent.
we dont need always to benefit from the stability of others...
